Gregory and the Hawk
Gregory & the Hawk is a blues music project from Brooklyn. Created in 2oo3 by solo artist Meredith Godreau, the first full-length demo cd “Gregory and the Hawk” came out in 2005 followed by the EP “The Boats&Birds” in 2006.
So far, Gath remains a label- and distributor-free venture followed by a crowd gained mainly due to the Internet ‘word-of-mouth’.
Collaborations, recordings, and shows have been shared with good friends Chris Garneau, Short Stories, Toby Goodshank, Arms & Legs, Jenny Owen Youngs, The Baby Skins, Kyle Gilbride, Paper & Sand, Cara Satalino, Rachel and Robin Browne, Dan Romer of Fire Flies, Saul Simon-MacWilliams, MikeyDie, Jonathan Jetter, and William Canzoneri of The Joey Machine.
